The store was started in the early 90's in Teaticket, MA. The original owners, Jim and Denise, moved the store to its current location in 2003. After working for several years building up the business they decided it was time for retirement and to be nearer their grandchildren.
That is where I came in. In 2007 I bought the store. It is the first time I have owned a store and I am having a blast! My background is in Engineering and Medical Billing so this is a third career for me. I think I finally found my niche! The people who feed birds are the coolest people in the world and I'm getting to meet lots of them!
I have been feeding birds off and on for years. I spent a lot of time with my dad in the back yard in the last year of his life. We watched Goldfinches for hours. Infact that is the name of my company - Goldfinch, Inc.
